It's my 50th column for Gay Chicago! I thought I'd make it memorable! First, there was a short creepy weasel named Rod Skyler a few years ago who allied himself with an unsavory agent and terrorized Ryan Idol. There was also Dave Kinnick, who held himself out to be a reviewer when he really just wanted to be a director. Then there were others (still are) who fancied themselves future go-go boys and deluded themselves into thinking they can "get" the porn hunks if they write about them enough and flatter them enough in their columns.

For about five years, there has been a Boston-based writer who's never had a real column from what I can tell and has at least two dozen aliases, and has had porn stars actually running fleeing from the business because of his tactics. I include on this list the late Thomas Lloyd, Tommy Cruise, Joey Hart, Talvin DeMacchio, Jeff Palmer, Sean Storm and others who've contacted or been contacted by an alias of Damon Kruezer, who's also known as Kent Barclay.

It appears he's a creation of agent David Forest, who saw him as a press person he could manipulate and feed info to (like he has tried to do with others), but like the Frankenstein monster, this creation is incredibly of his own mind.

Kruezer was involved in Brad's Buddies, the latest film that Forest has his thumbprint in and includes some of my favorite people in the adult biz, including Thor Stephans, Adam Hart and Tom Katt.

I'm aware of the behind-the-scenes jokes to this film, because I recall when Brad's Buddies was the name of David Forest's escort service - the one he eventually went to jail for - and I also know that the person Forest himself is playing is named "Peter" who's a rival agent. It's amazing to see usually camera-shy Forest in a cameo, and it's even funnier to see Hart play the Forest role as the Brad's Buddies businessman who "tries out" his boys before he sends them out for work.

This may be more of a documentary than a porn film - but if so, there's a lot more real-life salacious stuff that's left out. I remember those DF parties of a decade or so ago!

The real-life controversy of this video it appears is that a few reviewers (me not included) objected to the mysterious credit of the equally mysterious Kent Barclay/Damon Kruezer, who's credited with more offenses than Satan it seems like in the gay porn biz. I don't know (or care, really) if any of this agent/writer porn fan stuff is true, but the other reviewers obviously objected to the credit so much that they refused to review it if his name appeared on it. Forest, supposedly agreed to take it off but then said he was contractually obligated to keep it on, along with Nick Richmond, another person who's reputation is infamous, but I'm unclear what he's doing in the adult world either.

So, there are studios, porn personalities and actors who won't have anything to do if that name is mentioned. The biggest mystery is who is this guy, and what does he want? No one I know has even seen him (except of course, Forest who supposedly has business dealings with him)! What's most incredible is that Kruzer has labeled me an "enemy," and I've never met him as far as I know nor crossed paths or even repeated any of the series of vicious charges I've heard about him (oh, I have quite a file, though!)

Whatever his offenses, it won't stop me from writing about Buddies, and I wished I could say I liked it because of the people I like involved with it. But the lackluster sex, poor acting, overlighting and boring sets will keep me from writing a positive review, and I know that Forest has confirmed everything I've written here.
