| Good and Bad: Studio 2000 International @ August 2000. Good and Bad is quite simply a delight, featuring a cast of 10 hot European men in Jan Novak's latest treat from the Czech Republic. Chicago Bound: Odyssey Group Video @ September 2000. Chicago Bound proves that the Windy City doesn't just blow, it sucks. And fucks. And lots of other things. The latest from directors Chi Chi LaRue and Jim Steel, Chicago Bound features eight hot men in five lengthy scenes featuring a variety of sexual activity that's sure to have something for everyone. Stars Sam Dixon and Jason Hawke head the cast, playing together and with partners in some hard-driving fun that's shot on location, proving Chicago's the city of more than big shoulders. (3 1/2 Stars) Reviewed by Timothy Allen. A Young Man's Fancy: All Worlds Video. © 2000 (January). Director Will Astor's introduction of several young newcomers to the porn world starts out strong with an explosive pairing but then peters out until it hits a dead stop with the finale, a tepid trio. Editing (if it can be called that) really needs work, and the music should be executed. (2 1/2 Stars) Reviewed by Jeremy Spencer. Rent Boys: Companion Press @ 2000. Rent Boys, a collection of 17 gay erotic tales edited by David MacMillan, is a mixed bag of stories about street hustlers and high-priced action. The book suffers overall from an uneven approach, with some stories shooting at too much introspection about the business while others offer quick, cheap thrills. A book targeting one or the other market would have better served both audiences, but Rent Boys does have its good points. (2 3/4 Stars) Reviewed by Timothy Allen. |
