Gay Chicago Magazine's "Behind Closed Doors" 8th Annual Grabby Awards were presented live for the first time during the Memorial Day Weekend 1999 in the Music Hall of the Chicago Eagle/Man's Country.

The event brought scores of the nation's top adult male erotic performers, directors, other industry people and national media to the Windy City for the gala held Saturday evening, May 29. Hundreds of enthusiastic fans help fill the room for a capacity crowd.

For our announcement of the award winners and a hint of the festivities, here is a pictorial report. Other, more detailed reports, will be found here and in Gay Chicago Magazine in the upcoming weeks as the "Behind Closed Doors" staff settles down from the hectic weekend.

Grabby show hostess Honey West (above) and celebrity cohostess Chi Chi LaRue kept the show rolling with their own style of captivating the audience as Trophy Studs Peter Dixon and Robby Taylor looked on.

 
Hot House Entertainment's Club Inferno director and star, Chris Ward (foreground), and Falcon Studio exclusive Addison Scott presented the awards for Best Actor (Dramatic: Blue Blake; Action Hero: Steve Rambo) and Best International Video: Impromptus.		  
 
Superstar Ken Ryker and Will Clark were just two of the cast of presenters and award winners.		  
 
Men of Odyssey's director, Jim Steel (left), who tied for Best Screenplay for Ryker's Revenge, is seen with noted industry author/comumnist Mickey Skee and Ken Ryker (who, with Steve Harper, tied for Best Duo Scene in his comeback video, Ryker's Revenge).		  
 
Coach Mitch Allmond preformed the title song from Toby Ross' new video, Happiness is a Big Cock - as Trophy Studs Peter Dixon and Robby Taylor were joined by former Falcon exclusive Christopher Scott to prove the point.		  
 


The show's closing number by Honey West and Chi Chi LaRue not only brought the house down but the hottest of the hot back to the stage, including: Cole Tucker, Addison Scott, Andrew Lennox, Tony Acosta, Christopher Scott and many others for a Grabby curtain call that looked like a prelude to an orgy.
